Sports for Juvenile Justice

ROLLING | ALL AGES

Building resilience through sports.

Team Up Philly was asked to design a program for Sports For Juvenile Justice, a unique initiative that places adjudicated youth into sports-based youth development programs.

One evening a week, a group of teenage girls can be found hard at work at Elite Sports Factory learning fitness and basketball drills from Team Up Philly coaches. The group also spends time in the classroom, sharing nutritious snacks and engaging in character-building activities. Key areas of focus are conflict resolution, positive communication, anger management, goal-setting, and creating healthy relationships.

These girls become a strong source of support, encouraging each other to make positive choices in their lives.

Sports for Juvenile Justice is made possible through partnership.
