After a 4 year hiatus, Be A Hero made an incredible return

Be A Hero made its return to an in-person gathering in May after a 4 year hiatus … and what a return it was! 

We had our most successful event to date and were thrilled to honor:
– Team Up Philly’s 2023 Outstanding Volunteers of the Year (and high school seniors!) Sydney and Alina
– Team Up Philly’s 2023 Jay Barry Harris Heroes of the Year Lurline Jones and Susan Thal, recognized for their positive impact in our community and great commitment to others
– Team Up Philly’s Coaches and Rising Stars (and THE BEST raffle ticket sellers out there!).

Thank you Board, Staff, Volunteers, Event Committee and, last but not least, donors and supporters without whom this organization would not be able to succeed, grow and thrive.
